About Your Instructor

My name is Ebrahim, and I hope to be your instructor for the Canadian Firearms Safety courses (non-restricted and restricted). 

My story with guns started as a child growing up in South Africa listening to stories from my dad of African hunts he experienced growing up in the heart of Zululand in the 1930's. When I immigrated to Canada in 1980 I was impressed with the opportunity to own and use guns that are available to all Canadians, and it was with great pride that the first piece of official ID I ever got as a teen while still in high school was my FAC (Firearms Acquisition Certificate). Remember those?

I have been blessed with the opportunity to train and teach aspiring shooters firearms safety and I have been at this job for over a dozen years. My experience as an educator (I am a school principal in my day job) informs me of the best ways to teach in an exciting way.  Many of my firearms course students expressed to me that they never thought learning about anything could be so much fun, let alone learning about guns from a principal!
